Our Story

Watchstander Tech grew out of a simple observation: the people most exposed to online threats are the ones with no one watching their back.

After 19+ years in IT and cybersecurity — including active service as a Navy Reserve Information Systems Technician 1st Class Petty Officer — Andrew Berry kept running into the same gap. Large organizations have whole teams standing watch over their networks. Families, older adults, and small businesses around Bay County have no one.

Watchstander Tech exists to close that gap: bringing the same standard of vigilance that protects critical systems to home networks, family devices, and small businesses that can't justify an IT security team — without the jargon, the upselling, or the condescension.

The focus is deliberately narrow: cybersecurity and network protection, delivered remotely and on-site. Not a bit of everything — the one thing that matters most, done properly.

The name comes from the watch: aboard a ship, a watchstander continuously monitors critical systems and sounds the alarm before a small problem becomes a real one. That's the job here too.
